Understanding Alcohol Addiction and the Need for Professional Help

Signs You May Need Alcohol Rehab

Alcohol use disorder (AUD) can be mild, moderate, or severe and can cause lasting changes in the brain that make the user vulnerable to relapse. Some of the following signs can indicate alcohol misuse and the need for alcohol rehab:

  • Drinking larger amounts over longer periods than intended
  • Desire and unsuccessful efforts to cut down or control alcohol use
  • Cravings to drink
  • Failure to fulfill home, work, or school responsibilities because of alcohol use
  • Alcohol use interfering with your social and/or personal life
  • Experiencing health problems due to drinking
  • Developing a high tolerance for alcohol
  • Experiencing withdrawal symptoms when not under the influence

The Challenges of Alcohol Addiction and Withdrawal

Your body can create a physical dependence on alcohol, which is why a supervised detox setting is beneficial to assist with withdrawal symptoms. You may experience tremors, anxiety, insomnia or restlessness, fever, rapid breathing, sweating, hallucinations, confusion, and/or disorientation.

Comprehensive Alcohol Rehab Programs at Red Rock Recovery

Medical Detox: Your First Step to Recovery

Our detox program in Colorado is the first step in recovery that provides you with 24/7 supervision and withdrawal management services. This program sets your body up for the rest of treatment, creating a foundation in recovery for you to focus on your future treatment programs.

Inpatient Residential Treatment: Building a Strong Recovery Foundation

Residential or inpatient treatment is the next step, and it can last from 14 to 30 days. Here, you stay in our comfortable, serene living space and engage in evidence-based and holistic therapies individually and in groups to help you progress in recovery and in your general life skills.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Structured Support and Independence

PHP is one of our intensive care programs that clients typically begin after residential treatment. For six hours a week for four to eight weeks, you engage in structured clinical treatment and return to either your independent living quarters or a sober living facility.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Flexibility for Sustainable Recovery

Our IOP is a flexible treatment option for parents and/or full-time workers looking to keep themselves grounded in their recovery while not sacrificing other life responsibilities. In three-hour sessions for at least nine hours a week, you engage with a supportive community, evidence-based therapies, holistic services, and other resources you need, such as medicated-assisted treatment (MAT).

Sober Living Programs: Reclaiming Independence

The Ascent Sober Living Program allows clients to grow and evolve in recovery and their general lives. Our program offers a comfortable living space, a philosophical recovery pathway of your choice, a stable community, accountability house meetings, job placement and other life skill support, and access to our various therapies and treatments to ensure you can successfully transition into your normal routine with confidence.

Holistic and Evidence-Based Approaches to Treatment

Individualized Care for Your Unique Recovery Path

Recovery is a personal journey, and your treatment plan should reflect that. At Red Rock Recovery Center, we create individualized treatment plans for each client that include the right resources, therapies, and treatments that best fit your needs.

Building Resilience Through Adventure and Mindfulness

Some of our holistic programs include outdoor programs and mindfulness. Outdoor or activity programs use the serene environment of Colorado to engage clients with the outdoors through seasonal activities, like hiking, open mic nights, river rafting, and snowshoeing. Our mindfulness service helps ground clients in the present moment, working to reduce stress, enhance their mind-body connection, and clear their minds.

Family Support and Aftercare Programs: Strengthening Your Support Network

Services For Family Education and Support

At Red Rock Recovery Center, family therapy is offered to help strengthen relationships and grow a solid support system for relapse prevention. Our program bridges the gap within the family so that all members can support one another in this process, be aware of the client’s needs in recovery, develop healthy boundaries, and learn about each other on a deeper level for optimal recovery results.

Alumni Program: Staying Connected Beyond Treatment

The transition from treatment into your normal routine does not need to feel lonely or overwhelming. Our alumni program keeps you connected to your peers who share the same recovery values so that you always have a solid support network to lean on. This program also keeps you within reach of Red Rock Recovery resources to ensure a healthy, smooth transition.
