Primary Therapist

Lakewood, CO | Full-time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Demonstrate ability to provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment.
  • Create an individualized treatment plan with specific and measurable goals. Continually monitor progress and re-evaluate appropriateness of goal.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  • Coordinates and works with staff of other agencies and organizations to expedite treatment for each client.
  • Prepares current client progress reports and completion notices and provides them to the courts, probation departments, and referral sources as needed.
  • Prepares assessments and treatment plans as needed.
  • Completes all required forms for clients in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process. Be creative in therapeutic interventions to include homework assignments, community resources.
  • Demonstrate leadership in assuring continuity and quality of program, including curriculum development and group implementation.
  • Complete clinical paperwork, progress notes, and group notes within the EMR.
  • Have ongoing attention to discharge plan, evidenced by development of aftercare plan, transition sessions with out patient treatment providers, and patient’s knowledge of available resources.
  • Effectively communicate to other members of the treatment team about patient care and treatment. To effectively and consistently communicate to referral sources and collateral providers.

Registered Nurse Days, Nights and PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Seeking Full Time, Part Time, and PRN RN’s and LPN’s to work at Red Rock Recovery Center, a substance use disorder treatment provider with a new location starting in Morrison, CO. We strive to provide exceptional services to individuals and families affected by addiction. We have a new inpatient facility that provides detoxification, withdrawal management, and residential treatment services to adults in Morrison, CO. We are looking for experienced and dedicated people to join our team and work in our new program.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provides coordinated medical and clinical care for assigned patients in a detox and residential substance abuse treatment facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of patients.
  • Performs a full range of nursing services including assessing, planning, administering and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
  • Conduct and document a thorough assessment of each patient’s medical status upon admission and throughout the patient’s course of treatment.
  • Administers medical treatment as prescribed by the physician, including medication administration based on established protocols.
  • Attend and participate in clinical team conferences regarding patient progress, problems and needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for patients.
  • Oversees medication reconciliation along with reviewing and sign off on medication incident reports.
  • Documents and reports patient progress to treatment team.
  • Act in compliance with Red Rock Recovery Center’s regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments using appropriate framework.
  • Demonstrated skill in the delivery of patient care as a member of a therapeutic team.
  • Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plan and actively involving patients, family and the therapeutic team.
  • Skill in setting priorities, organizing workload to effectively administer direct patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively with stress and in crisis situations. Including medical stabilization of patients experiencing medical complications due to substance abuse withdrawal.
  • Performs peer reviews for Red Rock Recovery clients.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this successfully, an individual should have adequate education, experience, and knowledge regarding the nature and treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. Knowledge of community resources, principles, and techniques of alcoholism, addicts and drug abuse counseling.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates in Nursing, prefer a Bachelors in Nursing. At least 2-5 years’ experience as a RN or LPN , with 1 year of substance abuse practice.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle paperwork; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and travel between work locations.

BHT

Lakewood, CO | Full-time

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The BHT is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient’s safety and therapeutic environment . Primary responsibilities include supporting nursing staff, maintaining safety and structure of the milieu, observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting this information to the Charge Nurse and DON. Must be capable of verbally and physically assisting patients with everyday activities and emergency situations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist nursing with admissions, obtaining consents, search and record pt belongings, obtain vital signs, weight, height and skin checks, UAs and BA’s. Provide pt with handbook and orientation to facility and schedule.
  • Provide supervision and hourly safety checks to ensure safety standards are maintained.
  • Milieu Management
  • Organizes and make entries to client files as directed
  • Meal preparation, housekeeping and Laundry
  • Provides transportation for clients as directed
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and acute interventions in milieu setting.
  • Observe patient behavior and reports to RN on duty
  • Report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions to RN on duty
  • Record patients’ vital signs, heights and weights as needed.
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to implement patient care plans
  • Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet, sleep and physical activity and report to RN on duty
  • Prepare patients for and assist with searches, examinations and treatments
  • Provide educational and leisure activities and groups to patients
  • Serve as a positive role model for others in the program
  • Complete assigned clerical assignments such as but not limited to filing papers and breaking down charts
  • Assist nursing to maintain medical records ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Maintains Environmental Logs (ie:Temperature and Glucometer logs) to ensure that safety/Cleanliness are maintained
  • Floats to other sites as assigned by supervisor

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Performs other duties within the scope of practice as assigned by RN on shift or DON
