Why RRRC? A community based IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)
Red Rock Recovery Center was founded on the principle that our 12-step model employs a variety of therapeutic modalities; designed to foster a process of self-inquiry, healing, and change. We also have a cumulative experience with addiction treatment which sets us apart. This is aided by clinicians that are uniquely qualified to treat addiction in an effective way.
Additionally, we are located in an area that offers an array of readily accessible services without the clamor and business of inner city life. Our community center feel offers a respite from the grind, as we try to help minimize and limit unnecessary anxieties, stressors, and pressures of daily life, so you can focus on yourself and get the most out of the experience.
What exactly is a ‘community’ IOP?
An Intensive Outpatient Program is a drug and alcohol addiction treatment modality where individuals experience rehabilitation on an outpatient basis, meaning there is no commitment to an inpatient (long-term residential) program. An IOP features a set schedule but allows for the individual to maintain a job and family responsibilities while engaged in clinical recovery services.
The community designation is something we are particularly proud to offer. We have designed this program to have a focus on community from two angles.
First, RRRC will be working with local community municipalities (i.e. Drug court, public mental health services, etc.), and not apart from them, in order to support addiction resources and help destigmatize recovery in our local communities. This, in turn, will assist the local community in embracing those living with substance use disorder by helping them integrate their newfound potential back into the larger community itself.
Second, we aim to build this program as a community in and of itself. We also encourage alumni to give back and help those just starting the program. All participants understand that we recover TOGETHER as a community. We hope that life-long friendships will be forged as a direct result from program participation — forming new communities all over Colorado. As the saying goes, “Where there is unity, there is always victory.”
How Does it Compare to Traditional Inpatient Addiction Rehab?
We have tried to pack as much into this community-based IOP as we could — individual counseling, group therapy, etc. In some cases, especially when the one seeking help has a full-time job and family responsibilities, this IOP facility in Lakewood CO can offer an opportunity to keep those handled and still start down the road to a successful recovery from addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. The main difference being, traditional inpatient addiction treatment has 24-hour supervision and accountability to those individuals that suffer from chronic relapse and difficulty staying sober for long periods of time.
