What Our Intensive Outpatient Program Offers
Comprehensive Recovery Services
Recovery is not just about healing from a disorder. It is important to address all underlying issues that affect your mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social health. Our Denver area IOP program for adults is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment that prepares you for your daily life through evidence-based treatment, holistic therapies, and healthy coping skills.
Among our in-person clinical services, psychotherapy is offered in both group and individual therapy. We offer cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to address your behavioral health at a higher level of care. Paired with our holistic services, such as mindfulness therapy and yoga, you learn to put your energy into something productive for your mind, body, and soul. Our comprehensive healthcare helps you create a sustainable lifestyle that isn’t confined by addiction or mental health disorders.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
MAT uses a combination of medication management with behavioral therapies and counseling. For clients overcoming substance use disorders, medication management helps ease withdrawal symptoms to improve their comfort in the recovery process. MAT fits into our whole-person approach to help you focus on your personal journey and well-being without distractions.
Community Support and Engagement
Our Core Values: Community, Connection, and Purpose
Healing together is a crucial part of addiction and mental health recovery. Here at Red Rock Recovery Center, community, connection, and purpose are the three main focuses of our treatment programs, which are to connect you with others with similar recovery and life goals. Together, we find a new purpose and change the direction of our lives.
Family is also an important piece of strengthening connections and building a solid support network with loved ones. Having both peers and family behind you reminds you that you are not alone. At our Colorado outpatient treatment program, we value family involvement by offering family therapy to strengthen the dynamic.
Building Lifelong Connections
Group therapy sessions are valued in our outpatient therapy options. With us, you not only share your recovery experiences to grow and heal together but also grow a lifelong support network to support you every step of the way. Building these connections and friendships helps you to better yourself while making the recovery journey less overwhelming and stressful.
How Our IOP Works
Understanding Intensive Outpatient Treatment
IOPs typically offer a minimum of nine hours of service in three-hour sessions that allow clients to return to their regular routines so that they don’t have to sacrifice their work or home schedules for treatment. Each client is different, and our providers and clinicians take that into account through case management. IOPs may last longer than other programs, like residential treatment, to ensure clients feel confident taking on their daily lives away from our treatment center.
Comparison to Traditional Inpatient Rehab
Traditional inpatient rehab offers 24-hour supervision for those who struggle with chronic relapse or those who struggle to sustain sobriety over long periods of time. IOPs are perfect for those looking for less hands-on care, allowing them the flexibility to help transition back into their full, regular routines. Outpatient services allow you to prioritize recovery without sacrificing your home or work life, keeping you on track in all areas of your life.
How Our IOP Program in Denver Works
Our program highlights include an emphasis on positive psychology, flexibility for all clients’ schedules, access to Phoenix Multisport and family support, and access to MAT. We also give you access to experiential and holistic services, psychiatric and RN services, and our evidence-based modalities. Quality and effective care are our goals, so all of your needs, from addiction treatment to mental health treatment and life skills support, will be met.
Tailored Treatment Plans for Mental Health and Substance Abuse
Mental health and substance/alcohol abuse often coexist in different ways. Underlying causes are important to unveil in treatment in order to fully heal and progress past your disorder(s). Individualized treatment is essential, and our IOP addresses both addiction and mental health.
Your treatment plan will be personal to you, meaning all of your needs will be addressed at Red Rock Recovery Center. After the first call, our staff will work with you to create a comprehensive treatment plan that will support you from the first time you step onto our campus.
Holistic and Relatable Dual Diagnosis Care
Treatment goes beyond traditional, evidence-based therapies. Dual diagnosis care and holistic services are important for clients to have access to. These help you understand yourself in different ways, see how underlying mental health issues or lifestyle habits are affected by your disorder, and fully grasp how your disorder is impacting your life. Holistic care, specifically, opens up a new world of recovery that helps you improve your life on a greater scale, creating a life full of healthy habits that support your recovery goals.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the duration of the IOP?
Our IOP program in Denver takes place three to four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Clients will engage in nine hours of services a week in three-hour sessions for as many weeks as necessary. Every client is different, but IOP is typically longer than residential or rehab programs because there is less supervision.
How does IOP fit into the continuum of care?
IOP is often not the first treatment program clients participate in. After residential treatment, IOPs are a good form of continuous care to keep you on track with your recovery goals for relapse prevention, especially. This treatment program provides you with extended care and services to support you every step of the way in recovery as you transition back into your daily lives.
What types of support services are offered?
Aside from offering a group of peers to support you throughout the recovery journey, our IOP provides you with an individualized treatment plan, access to MAT, group counseling, family support, holistic and experiential therapies, and individual evidence-based therapies.
