Recovery shouldn’t stop because of where you live, what the roads look like in January, or what your schedule demands.
Red Rock Recovery´s Virtual IOP brings the same clinical depth, community connection, and evidence-based treatment that defines our in-person program, delivered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform from wherever you are in Colorado.
A Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program is a structured, clinically supervised level of care delivered entirely online.
It provides the same therapeutic intensity as in-person IOP: group therapy, individual sessions, psychoeducation, and ongoing clinical support, through a secure video platform that meets all HIPAA requirements for healthcare.
Virtual IOP sits between residential treatment and standard outpatient care. It’s designed for people who need more than weekly therapy but don’t require 24/7 supervision, and who need the flexibility to receive that care without being physically present at a facility.
At Red Rock, virtual IOP sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant Zoom for Healthcare, led by the same clinicians who run our in-person programming, from a dedicated professional environment with proper audio, lighting, and video setup.
This isn’t a workaround. It’s a full clinical program delivered through a different medium.
Virtual IOP allows clients to maintain work, school, and family responsibilities while receiving the clinical structure they need. The flexibility isn’t a clinical trade-off; research consistently shows that virtual IOP produces outcomes comparable to in-person care for the right candidates.
Red Rock’s Virtual IOP is not a separate, lower-tier program. It’s the same clinicians, the same evidence-based framework, and the same commitment to community, connection, and purpose that defines everything we do, delivered through a platform built for healthcare.
For some people, the ability to participate in treatment from a private, familiar environment reduces the anxiety of entry and increases willingness to engage. That matters clinically. The earlier someone fully engages in treatment, the better the outcomes.
Virtual IOP is an ideal step-down from residential or PHP, allowing clients to maintain clinical momentum and connection with their treatment team without a gap in care. For clients transitioning from in-person treatment, the virtual format helps maintain the therapeutic relationship.
Red Rock’s virtual sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant Zoom for Healthcare — a platform built specifically for clinical care, not consumer video calls.
Group sessions typically include up to 12 participants. Your clinician knows your history, goals, and treatment plan, and sessions are built around meaningful progress rather than check-ins.
Before you begin, our clinical team conducts a comprehensive intake assessment to confirm that Virtual IOP is the right level of care for where you are right now. We’ll discuss your history, goals, and schedule, and if a different level of care is more appropriate, we’ll tell you honestly.
Virtual IOP at Red Rock typically runs three to five days per week, with sessions lasting three hours per day. Your schedule is built around your clinical needs, and your life; work, family, and daily responsibilities don’t have to stop.
The core of the program is group therapy with structured, clinician-led sessions with a cohort of peers working through similar challenges.
Group work builds the community and connection that Red Rock Recovery is built around, even across a screen. Individual therapy sessions run alongside group programming to address your personal history, goals, and progress.
Your care team tracks your progress throughout the program, adjusts your treatment plan as needed, and stays in close communication, so you’re never navigating recovery alone between sessions.
Recovery is possible from wherever you are. If you’re ready to take the next step, or if you’re not sure yet and just need to talk through your options, Red Rock’s admissions team is here.
Yes. Research consistently shows that virtual intensive outpatient programs yield outcomes comparable to in-person care for appropriate candidates. The key factors: clinical quality, therapeutic relationship, peer connection, and program structure, are all present in Red Rock’s virtual format. The platform changes. The clinical commitment doesn’t.
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a reliable internet connection and a camera is sufficient. Sessions run through HIPAA-compliant Zoom for Healthcare; your clinician will walk you through setup before your first session. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to participate.
Most major insurance plans cover telehealth behavioral health services, including virtual IOP. Coverage expanded significantly following federal telehealth parity legislation. Our admissions team verifies your specific benefits before you begin — so you know exactly what’s covered.
Yes, and this is one of the primary reasons Red Rock offers virtual IOP. Colorado’s geography, mountain passes, and seasonal road conditions make in-person attendance genuinely difficult for a significant portion of the state. Virtual IOP was designed to make quality care accessible regardless of where you live.
Yes. Virtual IOP is an ideal step-down from residential or PHP treatment. For clients who completed in-person programming at Red Rock, transitioning to virtual IOP maintains continuity with the same clinical team and therapeutic community — without requiring ongoing in-person attendance.
All sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant Zoom for Healthcare, a platform built specifically for clinical care with end-to-end encryption and strict privacy protections. Your participation, treatment information, and session content are protected under the same confidentiality standards as in-person care.

Red Rock Recovery Center was a beacon of hope during one of the darkest times in my life. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with compassion, respect, and unwavering support. They truly understood what I was going through and provided not just a place to heal, but the tools and guidance I needed to rebuild my life.
The program at RRR is structured yet deeply personal, offering a balance of therapy, education, and community that made all the difference in my recovery. They didn’t just help me get sober—they helped me rediscover myself, build resilience, and develop the confidence to move forward.
Now, a year later, I’m beyond grateful for the life I have today, and I owe so much of that to Red Rock Recovery Center. If you or a loved one is struggling and looking for a place that truly cares, I can’t recommend RRR highly enough. They don’t just offer treatment—they offer hope, healing, and a future worth fighting for.

I am grateful for Red Rock Recovery Center. My experience into the world of recovery was with much apprehension. The staff at the inpatient facility, though PHP and IOP were extremely understanding and helpful while I came to a real understanding of what addiction is and how it has affected my life.
If you are reading this for yourself or a loved one I can relate. I looked for every reason why I didn’t need recovery. I thought I could manage addiction on my own. With every reason I could imagine why I didn’t belong there were 10 reasons why I did.
The community of friends I have met through therapy and groups that RRRC supports outside of therapy are incredible.
The pressure of coming back to life after addiction has been low stress with so many fun activities.
I highly rate RRRC as a friendly, helpful and effective treatment center.

Nothing is like Red Rock. It was the best choice I’ve ever made regarding my addiction & recovery. Caring, professional staff (many whom are in long term recovery themselves and understand), comprehensive program, group & 1 on 1 therapy, and activities like yoga, hiking, and gym in a comfortable atmosphere in the beautiful, nature-filled Morrson/Conifer area. There 4 stage program changed my life. Detox, residential treatment, PHP, & IOP. And then there’s the excellent alumni program with tons of support through meetings, events & activities. If you’re committed to fighting an addiction, this is the place to go.

This program saved my life and every day gives me the tools and resources to make it a life I want to live. Words fall far too short of the gratitude I have for this program and everything they have done for me. So many resources, spectacular staff, refreshingly authentic care and love in this program. I’ve never felt so supported and secure and safe. From my first phone call on through to the present, it’s been nothing but exceptional. My sanctuary, my recovery cocoon and somewhere I’ll feel at home throughout my recovery journey and life. I feel confident now that my recovery and future has begun. A life of freedom and opportunity. I was hopeless, discouraged and desperate. I never have to feel that way again. Thank you RRRC~ FOREVER GRATEFUL

RRRC is an incredible rehab facility. I received amazing care all the way from in patient to outpatient treatment. All of the staff and nurses were so kind and understanding and willing to help with anything that I needed. The therapists were also very helpful and provided great insight into our sessions and were incredibly knowledgeable. RRRC really helped me to regain control over my life and be able to find a new path and direction to head into. I could not recommend this facility enough and the amazing staff you get to meet and work with. I had a really great experience with them!

Red Rock Recovery Center is so much more than an addiction treatment program. This program and the incredible staff have allowed me to find a sense of purpose and a tight knit community. The skills and coping mechanisms taught during group therapy are so vital to my recovery and I continue to use them every day outside of treatment. The staff provided constant support and guidance every step of the way and continue to even after completing the program. Their unwavering support, deep knowledge, and compassion made the daunting journey of sobriety feel genuinely achievable and worthwhile. The uncertainty on the road to recovery can be overwhelming and may seem unfeasible at first. For anyone who is struggling with these fears and looking for some semblance of hope and meaningful connections this is your place.
