Shawn Henley

Co-Founder, Chief Administrative Officer, Board Chairman

Shawn Henley is an original co-founder of Red Rock Recovery Centers and currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer and Chairman of the Board. Since co-founding the organization in 2014, he has helped lead its growth into a comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider serving individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Over the past 15 years, Shawn has worked across virtually every aspect of behavioral healthcare operations, developing expertise in organizational management, regulatory compliance, finance, revenue cycle management, accreditation, human resources, and strategic growth. His leadership experience spans frontline program operations through executive management, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of both the clinical and business functions required to operate high-quality treatment services.

Shawn studied Human Services with a focus on behavioral and mental health treatment and later pursued Organizational Leadership studies at Colorado State University. He has also spent more than a decade working alongside professional executive coaches and leadership development organizations, with particular emphasis on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), organizational development, and executive leadership practices.

In addition to his leadership at Red Rock, Shawn previously served as a board member of the Rocky Mountain Executive Consortium, a collaborative network of healthcare and business leaders focused on organizational excellence and executive development. He currently serves as an advisory member of Jefferson County’s Gateway to the Rockies Opioid Settlement Council, helping evaluate and guide community investments aimed at addressing the opioid crisis across Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties.

A person in long-term recovery for nearly two decades, Shawn’s professional mission is deeply connected to his personal recovery journey. The principles of the 12-step recovery model have served as a foundation for both his leadership philosophy and the development of Red Rock Recovery Centers’ treatment approach. He remains passionate about building organizations that deliver clinically effective, mission-driven care while creating meaningful opportunities for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders.

Curt Maddon

CEO

A substance use and mental health disorder treatment industry professional since 2002, Curt Maddon has worked in numerous areas of rehabilitation services including all levels of direct client care as a behavioral health tech, line director, an executive director and over eight years as an officer of two long-term dual diagnosis treatment

facilities.Curt has also specialized in startups, turnarounds and expansion of numerous centers in a total of six states.

In personal recovery from addiction and mental health disorders since October of 2000, Curt discovered early that he had a passion for helping others find recovery and

wellness, and thus entered into the behavioral health field as well as performing interventions focused on not just patients, but families as well.

Like many of his colleagues, Curt subscribes to the belief that if everyone in the family system learns how to support the recovery of their loved one by practicing the principles of recovery themselves, successful outcomes are far greater. Without this understanding, shift and action, outcomes are diminished.

Also of paramount importance to the process is the continuum of care provided for all involved – spanning intervention into recovery, and the critical progress milestones of early recovery in between. Red Rock Recovery Centers provides all levels of care, a framework Curt Maddon high believes is best for patients.
